Dentures Georgetown TX
What types of dentures are available?
- Removable partial denture – this denture replaces one or more teeth within the dental arch. False teeth are made and placed on a metal and acrylic appliance that snaps into place using the existing teeth for support. These are easy to remove and care for and can be adjusted as needed.
- Full denture – a full denture is used to replace all the teeth in a dental arch. It also provides realistic acrylic gum tissue, so they look as natural as possible when in place. Patients can hold these dentures in place with natural suction or dental adhesive.
- Implant Overdenture– Do you have a loose denture that no longer fits well? Do you have a denture that is causing sore spots and pain? There is a great option to help solve the problem. Sometimes when the teeth have been missing for a while, the dentures will no longer stay in place making it difficult to chew and smile. When this happens, as few as two implants can be placed to help hold the denture in place. This option allows you to remove the denture to clean and maintain on your own at home.
- All-on-four dentures – for patients seeking optimum stability, strength, and function, all-on-four dental implants may be the best option. This option requires placing a minimum of 4 dental implants and a dental bridge is then screwed into these implants. This dental bridge can only be removed by the dentist. Patients no longer need to use dental adhesives and experience better function and appearance.
